MemphisConnect
The core mission of MemphisConnect is to engage incoming talent at all levels in our city, providing them with a welcoming experience early into their relocation to Memphis. If you know of anyone who has recently moved here, please take a moment to fill out this form.
Also, through MemphisConnect we are offering a 4-part experience for emerging knowledge workers in town this summer. If you have contacts at church, college and career groups, your alma mater, your sorority/fraternity alum group, a volunteer organization, an individual in or your company that would be interested in this type of program, please click on this link.
Both programs are designed to help our city recruit and retain top talent.
Building a better Memphis. Recruiting and retaining talent.
MemphisConnect helps recruit and retain top talent in Memphis by introducing out-of-town candidates and new hires to our city’s best and brightest existing talent. We reach out to these professionals new to the area and introduces them to the many benefits of living in Memphis. They are also introduced to organizations and activities throughout Memphis by connections generated by Academy Masters and Fellows. These matches are made based on lifestyle, interests and shared pre-Memphis experiences - and they are created for the employees ranging to mid-level management to seasoned corporate leaders.
Participating companies can motivate out-of-town candidates to relocate to Memphis by linking them with personalized connections to Memphis’ leaders - people who are engaged in the community, positive about what our city has to offer, and share key similarities with the knowledge worker a company is trying to recruit. A lifestyle and interest survey is conducted with prospective candidates/new hires in advance of their connection.
In addition to the personal connections created, new employees are also invited to participate in a Memphis 101 session, as well as the "Celebrate What's Right" luncheon series. This series will be held throughout the year, and will focus on people or projects that have made remarkable impact in our community.
Let the Academy introduce your new employees to the very best our city has to offer. For more information on becoming a member of the MemphisConnect program, contact Kristee Bell.
