Educators
Center for Excellence in Education Leadership
As we focus on creating more and better leaders for our community, what better place to infuse empowered leaders than in our schools where educators have the incredible responsibility of educating our community’s future leaders. Through our work with the Memphis City Schools, New Leaders for New Schools and the Tennessee Charter School Association, educators are receiving first-class leadership training designed to empower them to bring to life the potential in every child.
The Academy helps principals and teachers explore possibilities in educational leadership. Consider how your teaching style differs from the learning style of your students and how you differ from your peer educators. Improve your strategies to address students and co-workers of all styles.
Memphis City Schools
The Academy has delivered customized leadership training to educators in the Memphis City Schools, including the Superintendent’s Executive Leadership Team, the Memphis City School Board and school principals and teachers.
New Leaders for New Schools
The Academy facilitates New Leaders for New Schools (NLNS) training both locally and nationally. The Academy guides NLNS Resident and Mentor Principals through the process of self-examination to identify their own personal leadership voice while providing external exploration to understand the leadership voice of others. The Academy has trained more than 200 NLNS principals at national sessions in Philadelphia and Boston.
Tennessee Charter School Association
Charter school principals wear many hats; including educator, fundraiser, business administrator and more. The Academy provides leadership development courses designed to help these principals meet the challenges their position brings.
