Join us at the Benjamin Hooks Library (Meeting Room C) on Thursday, March 22, from 3:30 -5:30 p.m. for an eye-opening and inspiring look at the story behind the story of Memphis.
Candid, compelling, enlightening: Memphis 101* is an interactive crash course in Memphis culture, people and politics revealing why Memphis is the place it is today and how our history impacts where we are headed.
Whether you've lived here all of your life or you're new in town, Memphis 101 will impart a fresh perspective into our city's personality.

Prepare for another evening of enlightenment and entertainment as The Academy's MemphisConnect and LaunchMemphis partner again to present Ignite Memphis 4.
Early Bird tickets are only $10 through February 23, then $15 through the night of the event. Doors open at 5:30pm and the show starts promptly at 6pm.
If you have a topic you’d like to present, and you’re up to the challenge of a five minute presentation of 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds, then submit it here for consideration by 5pm on Friday, February 10.

"Wei Around the World" Lunch and Learn
Academy Trustee and Sunshine Enterprises CEO, Wei Chen, became the first Chinese citizen to fly around the world in a single engine plane. Wei will share how he emphasized Memphis' global impact during his journey, give insights from around the globe, and update us on the film project about his historic flight.

Ignite Memphis 3
Enlighten us, but make it quick!
The Academy's MemphisConnect.com again partners with Launch Memphis to inspire, educate and entertain the community through Ignite Memphis 3. Sixteen speakers will each be given the stage for five minutes- the exact time needed for their 20 slides to auto-advance every 15 seconds.
Join us November 10 at Bioworks from 5:30-9:00pm for a fun and enlightening evening complete with drinks and light hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online here.
