What is a Community Action Project (CAP)?

The Fellows work in teams to create and implement CAPs, meeting needs within the community ranging from education and healthcare to arts and urban planning. During the project development phase, ideas and feedback from Academy Alumni, peers, community leaders and Academy staff ensure that each CAP effectively meets a community need. These projects leverage the strengths of existing organizations and create a lasting effect on Memphis.
