On Tuesday, February 17th, Stand for Children hosted a community forum about the future of public education in Shelby County.

The forum begun with a presentation by University of Memphis' Daniel Kiel, who gave a thorough and objective summary of the events that had led to this debate and the possibilities that might follow. Proponents of the school merger, Walter Bailey and Cardell Orrin, then joined opponents Mark White and Michael Wissman to lend their points of view and take questions from the audience.
