About this initiative

The CA Appeal Young Leaders initiative provides The Commercial Appeal with feedback from Fellows, who provide a fresh and intelligent sounding board for Chris Peck, Otis Sanford, and Joseph Pepe. For example, in May 2010, Peck and the Fellows discussed The Commercial Appeal’s coverage of education in Memphis. Of particular interest was the May 12th article about Memphis City Schools potentially no longer giving out free books for the summer reading program. We look forward to more discussions regarding crime, greening, and other issues that affect our city.
