More than 100 alumni of our New York City-based Aspiring Principals Program gathered for a welcome reception in honor of NYC Schools Chancellor, Carmen Fariña on February 6th.  A lifelong educator and highly-respected former teacher, principal, superintendent, and deputy chancellor, Ms. Fariña emphasized that principals hold a most important job in the NYC school system and shared her desire to work closely with them on behalf of their students.

Her message was clear: enjoy being a principal and celebrate the great news and happenings at your school.  She encouraged APP graduates to build substantial relationships by increasing communication with parents, teachers, and the community.  We were proud that Chancellor Fariña had the opportunity to meet more of our graduates who have impacted the lives of so many children in New York City and have advanced our mission.
