Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Queens College, as well as multiple Microsoft Certifications. He’s also an alumnus of the American Express Leadership Academy for nonprofit leaders. Alex is based in New York City.

I work in education because…

I’m living proof that education has the power to change lives. I’m a proud graduate of New York City Public Schools and I experienced firsthand the impact that dedicated educators, leaders, and strong support systems can have on students and communities.

An educator who made a lasting impact on me was…

My high school business education teacher, Ms. Schafer, who took the time to guide me and sparked my interest in learning. Her support helped me to see my potential and stay focused on my goals.

When I was a kid I wanted to be…..

A pizza man, because I thought I’d get unlimited free pizza! I lived out that dream for a while through my first job at a pizzeria. I even continued to work there part-time after starting my tech career and didn’t hang up my apron until I joined The Leadership Academy.

Different Roles. Same Goal.

We believe every child’s school experience should prepare them for success in the classroom and the world, and we’re all in on supporting the leaders who can make it happen.
