I know I’m making a difference with school and system leaders when…

I see them aligning their priorities to what matters most for students. When they’re creating strategies and building cultures that help everyone across the system to do their best work, it always amounts to stronger teaching and learning for every student.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a…

Lawyer, because even then I believed that everyone deserves a champion in their corner. I was a debater from middle school through college and I loved the research, strategy, and advocating for something meaningful. I still draw on that passion for advocacy by helping leaders create stronger schools for students.

Colleagues say one of Ashley’s superpowers is….

She builds relationships and trust masterfully, fully seeing every person’s humanity, honoring their feelings, and creating an environment where you feel comfortable being your most vulnerable. Added bonus is that she never misses the chance to enjoy a good laugh!
