Jeanny Pak is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where she oversees the organization’s financial operations in support of its mission to position New York City as a place where people and companies can thrive. With more than 25 years of experience in public finance investment banking, she brings deep expertise in developing and executing financial strategies that enable vital public infrastructure and projects.
Before joining NYCEDC, Jeanny was Managing Director and Head of the East Region Public Finance Division at UBS Financial Services. In this role, she led teams that advised state and local governments across the New York and Mid-Atlantic region, raising capital and structuring complex bond transactions. Over the course of her career, she has worked closely with New York State, New York City, and a range of public authorities including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Dormitory Authority of New York, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Empire State Development Corporation. Her experience also includes positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Jefferies.
Jeanny’s career began in education. She was an inaugural Teach for America corps member, teaching elementary school in Houston before joining the organization’s New York headquarters, where she helped train and support corps members nationwide. She has also been active in initiatives that promote women and people of color in the finance industry, reflecting her commitment to inclusion and leadership.
Jeanny earned a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cornell University.
