San Jose State University Lurie College of Education has recognized The Leadership Academy Lead Executive Officer & President Nancy Gutiérrez as a Distinguished Alum as part of their inaugural 2023 Celebration of Education alumni event. Dr. Gutiérrez will attend the event as both an honoree and a featured speaker, delivering opening remarks centered on the future of education alongside Lurie College of Education Dean Heather Lattimer.
“It is an honor to recognize Nancy’s vision for innovation and equity, dedication to K12 students and families, and outstanding leadership,” said Dean Lattimer.
According to the event description for the 2023 Celebration of Education, “our alumni engage in transformative work across a range of educational and community spaces. We have created this event to amplify the brilliance and dedication (our alumni) bring, to learn with and from each other, and to honor and support (their) professional journeys.”
