“With the dispositions, we created tangible and observable behaviors to help leaders show up in an equitable and culturally responsive way,” said The Leadership Academy President & CEO Nancy Gutiérrez as a featured guest on Education Talk Radio, a podcast hosted by The American Consortium for Equity in Education.

During the conversation, Dr. Gutiérrez speaks to each of The Leadership Academy’s six dispositions of leadership, relating them to the work of becoming a more culturally responsive leader.  She also highlights the struggles that leaders currently face and describes the impact of a culturally responsive education.

“When we talk about culturally responsive education, there is a fundamental misunderstanding that we are only serving, supporting, and elevating students of color.  However, culturally responsive education greatly benefits all children as we prepare for interactions as a global society,” Gutiérrez says.
