The Leadership Academy’s Executive Director of Programs David Baiz today was announced as a member of the 46th cohort of Pahara Fellows. Baiz is one of only 24 education and equity leaders nationwide chosen for the Pahara Institute’s highly selective program, which provides support and leadership development to a diverse group of professionals who are working to transform public education.

“I’m incredibly honored to join this cohort of brilliant leaders who share a commitment to students feeling safe, valued, and held to the highest expectations of academic rigor,” said Baiz. “I’m looking forward to not only deepening my own skills as a practitioner, but also to leveraging the learnings from this unique experience to advance The Leadership Academy’s work of creating exponential impact for all students.”

As a Pahara Fellow, Baiz will participate in a one-year cohort that aims to harness the Fellows’ collective efforts to dramatically improve public education, in part by looking beyond traditional boundaries to successfully address education challenges. After completing the program, Fellows become members of the Pahara community with continued access to resources and support, alongside more than 3,000 other leaders whose work is focused on reimagining public education.
